Three donations of wheelchairs in Managua\, the suburbs\, and in outer villages will take the first few days. After the distribution we will stay in beautiful Gran Pacifica on the ocean\, boasting world class waves and beaches. Your grateful hosts will provide tours of the dramatic colonial city of Granada and perhaps a trip to monkey island to visit the indigenous troop of capuchin monkeys. DESCRIPTION:CLOSED\nDates: January 26-31\, 2023 \nFor the past two years\, our Rotarian friends from the island nation of Trinidad and Tobago have asked for wheelchairs\, but Covid-19 derailed the efforts. Now we are ready to change lives with a delivery of 280 chairs\, likely spread across several islands. Just off the coast of Venezuela\, this Southern-most Caribbean country has incredible beauty\, but also contains thousands of people who need a wheelchair but cannot afford one. \nFollowing several days of distribution in the cities and villages\, we will tour the islands with our Rotarian hosts\, and learn about the rich culture of the country.
